Platform/CMS

The CMS is what the website is actually built on. For most websites, you’ll find that they’re built on WordPress, and that’s for a good reason! WordPress is easily, in my opinion, one of the best CMSs out there.

While it may not be perfect, it’s extremely easy to use and can be quite speedy when it’s not bogged down by a bunch of plugins.

To keep this video simple, I almost never consider websites that are built on anything other than WordPress. All of my standard operating procedures have to do with WordPress, and transferring a website from one CMS to another can be very risky.

Fortunately, because WordPress is so popular, you’ll almost never run into the CMS being a problem. However, for older websites, you’ll want to consider that this may be a roadblock.
