This is another topic that I’ll touch on briefly because it’s not really relevant to what we’re doing here, but it shows you the art of the possible and may give you ideas for scaling your business in the future.
Profit sharing services involve you giving your money to an operator to have them find, grow, and manage a website on your behalf!
Many of these profit sharing services have years of experience with website growth and management, so it’s a relatively safe investment if you’re partnering with an established company.
We aren’t interested in these, though, because returns typically aren’t attractive unless you’re dumping hundreds of thousands of dollars into them. At that point, there are fewer quick wins that can be made, so you won’t see hockey-stick-like growth in most cases.
Additionally, they typically have many websites in their portfolio, meaning that your website(s) are probably not getting all of the attention that they deserve.
Overall, if you have any technical knowledge, these are not good investments for you. However, if you’re able to build up a decent portfolio for yourself but are limited by your own capital, starting up one of these services may be a way to grow rapidly!
